| IIRR
has been involved in Latin America since 1965 through partner
National Rural Reconstruction Movements in Colombia, Guatemala
and Honduras. Over the past 35 years, IIRR has trained some
5,500 development practitioners from Latin America both at its
headquarters in the Philippines and in the region. IIRR operated a Latin America Regional Center in Quito, Ecuador from 1993 until 2005 and
has since worked with various partners to implement programs
on cutting-edge development practice in Ecuador and in the Region.
IIRR’s work is highly regarded by partners including donors.
The regional office focused its work on documenting lessons
and processes derived from field projects, training and technical
assistance on participatory methodologies for rural development.
As of this time, IIRR does not have a Regional Center in Latin America.
