IIRR produces publications on a variety of development
themes, aimed at sharing of experiences among development
practitioners. Most of the publications are produced through a
participatory workshop called a “writeshop”. In an IIRR
"writeshop", experts and community members work
together to write a manual documenting good practices on a
particular development issue. A "writeshop" often
engages community leaders, government officials and planners,
NGO personnel and scholars in this common effort. IIRR does
not copyright its publications. Many IIRR publications have
been translated in local languages of Africa and Asia. Most of
our publications are sold at very low prices.
